Additional Information:
Dr. Roman Politi is a fellowship trained, board certified Vascular and Interventional Radiologist with Radiology Associates of Ithaca (RAI), exclusively contracted with Cayuga Health System. Vascular and Interventional Radiology is the specialty of minimally invasive, image guided procedures ranging from simple percutaneous biopsies to complex endovascular surgeries. Impressed with Cayuga Medical Center and finding a pleasant community in Ithaca where he and his wife can raise their family, Dr. Politi joined RAI and Cayuga Medical Center in 2014.

Dr. Politi’s professional time is split between interpreting diagnostic radiological examinations and his clinic-based endovascular Interventional Radiology practice. Under the auspices of The Cayuga Heart Institute of CMA, he evaluates endovascular patients in a traditional clinic setting. Areas of interest include peripheral arterial disease, women’s health (uterine fibroid embolization and pelvic congestion syndrome), interventional oncology, hemodialysis fistula maintenance, inferior vena cava filter management and long term venous access.

Outside of the hospital Dr. Politi enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and daughter, snowboarding, reading historical nonfiction, traveling and learning how to sail on Cayuga Lake.
