I thought I would finish the question and answer series with a few race day specific questions. As a coach, sports physician, and fellow triathlete I continually remind anybody who will listen that it is a mistake to try anything for the first time on race day if possible. This concept applies to all of the Q and A in this edition. Sometimes you have to just wing it but if you can have a test trial, it can help you work out the bugs. I hope you all have learned something from these questions and answers. I know I have had fun writing them. Have a great upcoming race. Make sure you thank the volunteers along the way and try to smile. After all, you paid for the opportunity to punish yourself a little bit on race day.
