More than 300 people of all ages help out at Cayuga Medical Center on a regular basis, working in a variety of settings according to their personal preferences and individual skills. Volunteers work in the gift shop, serve as visitor guides, answer telephones at the reception desk, assist nurses with non-medical tasks, comfort patients in waiting rooms, transport patients where appropriate, provide clerical support, sort and deliver mail, and assist in many other ways throughout the Medical Center.
