Dr. Villagonzalo graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1999. He went through surgical residency, a surgical fellowship thereafter and is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a commissioned naval officer. He served honorably on active duty and he is currently serving in the reserves.

A native of Queens, New York, he and his wife, Monaliza, an AORN certified Registered Nurse, moved to Ithaca in early summer of 2008. Whereupon, they established his solo practice, Podiatry Services of Ithaca in Community Corners.
