With 10 years of registered nursing experience, Jessica Austin has worked primarily in surgical services at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. She most recently worked as a registered staff nurse on Cayuga Medical Center’s Short Stay Surgical Unit. In 2020, she received her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Binghamton University, where she previously received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2010. Earlier, she was a registered nurse at Binghamton General Hospital in the New Horizons Inpatient Rehab program. Her love for surgical patients, the Ithaca community, and her CMC family prompted her to join Neurosurgery Services of CMA. A native of northeastern Pennsylvania and a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in biology, she and her husband have called Ithaca their home since 1997, where they are raising two children.
