Spearheaded by members of Temple Beth-El, a fundraising campaign to thank the Cayuga Medical Center employees for their tremendous hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic, raised more than $15,000. Several interfaith congregations and organizations in the Ithaca area, as well as many unaffiliated individuals, contributed to this fundraising effort. These include: St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, First Baptist Church, First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, Ithaca Area United Jewish Community, New Life Presbyterian Church, and the Philoptochos Society. Cayuga Health and Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services [C.A.R.S.] officials announced today that they are at the beginning stages of entering a collaborative partnership to enhance the delivery of addiction recovery services throughout the region. The work to finalize the affiliation between C.A.R.S. and Cayuga Health System will be completed over the next several months.
