The Tompkins County Health Department is announcing three COVID-19 vaccination clinics for those currently eligible to receive the vaccine. Healthcare workers and other eligible individuals in Phase 1A (detailed below) can register for clinics at the Shops at Ithaca Mall, 40 Catherwood Road, on January 6th-8th, and can register by visiting the Tompkins County Health Department’s vaccination web page. 1,800 vaccine doses are being distributed through this week’s clinics. Eligibility will continue to expand as more vaccine becomes available and the department’s vaccination web page will continue to be updated as new phases begin. (more…)
December 21, 2020 Ithaca, New York –– Cayuga Health officials announced today that Dr. Keith Lambert, ER Physician, Kate Rosa, RN, and Dr. Sushilkumar Satish Gupta, Pulmonologist/Critical Care Specialist, were among the initial Cayuga Health employees to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The frontline providers received the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, as part of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Phase I approach, on December 18 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Vaccinations of additional Cayuga Health frontline providers will continue this week.

Due to COVID-19 and significantly lower patient volumes, the Kids Care After-Hours Pediatric Care operating inside Cayuga Medical Center will be closing on Sunday, November 22nd at 5 pm. For after-hours care, patients are being encouraged to contact their pediatrician or use the Ithaca Urgent Care located at 10 Arrowwood Drive, which will be open between the hours 7:30 am – 7:30 pm.
