Dr. Veigel has been chapter editor and coauthor for the text Sports Medicine Consult: A Problem-Based Approach to Sports Medicine for the Primary Care Physician. He has also written chapters for 5 Minute Clinical Consult and 5 Minute Sports Medicine Consult. Dr. Veigel is published on injury prevention in the journal Current Sports Medicine Reports as well as several case reports.
Dr. Veigel is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine. He is an active committee member of the marketing committee of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine.
He is co-medical director of the Cayuga Lake Triathlon Sports Medicine Conference. It is an annual conference that provides medical information in the field of endurance medicine.
Dr. Veigel is on the Continuing Medical Education committee at Cayuga Medical Center.
