Personal Profile
Dr. Getzin is a competitive triathlete earning All-American status with USA Triathlon the past four years. He recently returned from Kona where he competed in the Ironman World Championship (after qualifying at Lake Placid Ironman). Dr. Getzin played football while at Amherst College and rugby for the following eight years before switching to triathlon. He is married to Dr. Karen LaFace, a family physician and previous Olympic springboard diver who represented the United States in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. They have three children: Zoe 11, Lucy 8, and Quentin 5.
