Rehabilitation Services

The Rehabilitation Department uses therapeutic procedures and exercise to help patients regain maximum mobility, build strength, increase range of motion and improve coordination following injury, illness, or surgery. Services are offered on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Comprehensive rehabilitative services include: speech therapy, to help patients with speech or language disorder and swallowing difficulties; occupational therapy, using activities to help develop flexibility, strength, coordination, visual perception, and cognition in the activities of daily living; athletic training, to help athletes regain their strength and endurance following accident or injury; and wound care, using whirlpools and dressing treatments to promote healing for wounds from diabetic ulcers, surgical incisions, traumatic injuries, and amputations.
